Helping you to self-manage your long term condition
The café is a one off session for people with a new, or fairly new diagnosis (different condition each month), where you can meet the health, care and community sector people, who can provide support.
It is an information giving session, but with a face to face element in an informal yet clinical setting.
Have you been recently diagnosed with Mental Health, Drug or Alcohol problems?
Wednesday 25th November
(Introductory speech at 4:45pm)
Treviglas Community College
Do you have questions?
Come along for an informal chat and we can sign post you to the help and support you need
(No Clinical treatment available at this session)
MMR Catch-Up campaign
Due to the recent outbreaks of Measles and Mumps in the country we are currently inviting children who have not completed their MMR vaccination programme.
If your child hasn't had TWO MMR vaccines please take this opportunity to protect them and contact the surgery for an appointment.
Whooping cough vaccinations for pregnant women.
There has been an increase in the number of cases of whooping cough, especially in infants less than 3 months old.
Mothers-to-be can help protect their baby by having the vaccination between week 28 and 38 of pregnancy. Please ask your midwife for details.
More than 10.000 people in the UK currently need an organ transplant. Of these, 3 a day will die waiting as there are not enough organs available.
Only 31% of us have joined the organ donor register, please help save lives by registering now.
We have received a number of complaints from patients who have tried to use the BT "ring back" service when the phone lines are busy and have not recieved their call back. Please be aware that this is a BT line message and NOT a message on our phone system. It will not work so please don't use it.
